Well it’s official The most rainfall ever recorded in this area. Last I heard we had received over 13″ in a two day period. Freeways are flooded, several fatalities, lots of damage to the roads just about everywhere. Here in Stanford we are still high and dry, however we have also been stuck here for two days straight. Roads in just about every direction are shut down due to flooding. I cant help but compare however these floods to those in the Philippines where we are about to spend the next 7 months. Most of the deaths here could have been avoided had people not tried driving through flooded roadways, or not jumped on a makeshift raft and attempted to float down a river that is 30-40 feet over its banks. In the Philippines however the majority of deaths occur as a result of lack of building regulations in impoverished areas. The reason there are no building regulations is quite simple. No one cares if these people die.

Hey Everyone.
Erik and I were talking the other day and realized we need a good way to share printable photos of our families with each other. I have since set up a snapfish.com gallery to share all of said pictures and you will be able to go on pick whichever pictures you want to print and get them sent directly from snapfish to your door. If you do not have a snapfish account please let me know before signing up for one. If I or Rachel refer you to the site we get free prints, and once you have signed up you can refer others and receive prints as well. If you are interested in taking part please either post a comment here on our site or contact Rachel or myself for the link to the gallery as well as the password to participate. Okay thats it for now… Later.
OlsonsRus Now Featuring Video
I’m sure most of you have already made your way to the videos page to check out our daughters sweet moves, but for those who haven’t there is now a link in the main menu above that will take you to our “Videos” page. We will from time to time be posting some videos here to make sure you get the whole Outrageous Olson Family Digital Adventure or (OOFDA for short). Also an addition I am particularly proud of are the set of photos you see rotating in the menu bar to your right. —->
These are random images pulled from our gallery of pictures (found under the “pictures” link up on top) and will change every time you refresh your screen, or navigate to a new one. So I hope you enjoy these latest add-ons and I hope they give you the OOFDA you’ve been looking for!
Image Viewer
link I hope to install this little piece of scripting within the next few weeks. If you click the image it will allow you to view the image right here on this page without having to go to our gallery, and without opening a pop-up or another browser window. Its a really awesome plugin and i hope i can get it working with all of our photos.
